Blogrovr on the radio: small business and the blogosphere
July 25th, 2007 by marc
Anita Campbell, who runs Small Business Trends Radio and the site smallbiztrends.com, has invited me to do her podcast. I’ll be on August 7th, 2007 from about 8-9AM PST, live here, or you can pick up the podcast after here.
The title and topic of the show will be:
Our featured guest in this episode is Marc Meyer, Co-Founder of Activeweave, Inc. (http://www.activeweave.com). Marc will explain how companies can tap into the blogosphere to stay informed about their effectiveness, competition, market and audience.Imagine a world in which you are alerted to reviews about a product, blog discussions about a company, or other information as you land on a site. Learn how this changes the game for managing your business online.Tune in to listen live (http://tinyurl.com/odk7f)
The audience is small business operators, and I want to discuss how they can use the blogosphere to keep abreast of what’s important to them–their clients, business environment, competition–and also how they can use the blogs and blog based tools to communicate better with their clients and solve their problems more effectively.
I’ll discuss a number of tools and methods helpful in harnessing the power of blogs and blogging. I’d be happy to consider any suggestions for adding to these, particularly of relatively simple to use, rather than real expert tools.
My intial list includes:
- Google Alerts
- Google Blog Search/Technorati Search
- Google Reader
- BlogRovR
- Blogger/Vox
- Yugma
- Satisfaction
- Co.mments
Please feel free to suggest others, in comments here or via email, or related topics you might like to hear discussed.
